GETTING INVOLVED
JOINING THE CHYPS CAST
Come and join us! CHYPS are a fun, friendly and diverse group of secondary school students aged between 11 and 18 who love to act, sing and dance. The highlight is our annual January pantomime.
Our membership includes loads of benefits:

guaranteed part in the annual pantomime

annual awards night

summer musical fundraiser

leading the parade at Alderley Edge May Fair

annual theatre trip to Theatr Clywd Mold, each December
-
big screen private showing of the panto at The Rex Cinema, Wilmslow
And last but not least, making new friends! CHYPS cast go to various schools in Cheshire, Manchester and Trafford.
Rehearsals are twice weekly on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons between September and the show in January.
Auditions for new members take place in February/March. Auditionees will need to perform a monologue, sing a song and learn a dance. Email CHYPS.Information@gmail.com.
JOINING THE CHYPS ADULT HELPERS
As well as a very talented cast, our pantos would not be possible without the help and dedication of the army of adult volunteers who help make it happen. Would you believe we need about 50 helpers!
At various times throughout rehearsals from September and most importantly "show week" we always require help with the following things:

Sewing
-
Make up
-
Hair dressing
-
Wardrobe helpers
-
Lifters and shifters
-
Van owners
-
Front of House staff
-
Stage crew
-
Handymen (or women) to help make and paint stage set.

Chaperones
-
and probably most importantly, our kitchen staff - who keep us all fed and watered throughout show week.
There are lots of jobs for all sorts of people.
